Ebina Karate is also known as YOSHIN-KA N Ebina Dojo. YOSHIN-KAN follows the legacy of Sagami Gym, which produced many Japanese champions and ranked fighters during the heyday of kickboxing in the Showa era. Sagami Gym's lineage includes practical karate in the Shito-Ryu Okano style and incorporated kickboxing techniques under "Jigenkai."In the Showa era, kickboxing was a proving ground where many practical karate dojos gathered to test their skills.
YOSHIN-KAN stems from Jikenkai, where the head instructor and ranked fighter, Sensei Makoto Nozaki, became independent and established Nozaki Kaikan. Youshinkan branched off from Nozaki Kaikan. Under the leadership of Sensei Kunimasa Nagae, who coined the term "Shin Karate,"YOSHIN-KAN has been active as a member gym of the federation organized by Sensei Nagae and kickboxing.
YOSHIN-KAN excels in face strikes and has actively participated in matches organized by Kyokushin Kaikan and Shidokan. Currently, Youshinkan welcomes instructors from the Japan Karate Federation, the Japan Karate Association, and Kyokushin Kaikan to pursue the study of karate and expand activities globally.
