■Abstract: We provide photography and videography services for space travelers. Although commercial spacecraft are typically equipped with an array of cameras, travelers are generally not allowed to carry their own cameras onboard. More importantly, the act of taking pictures itself tends to distract from fully experiencing a trip into the space with one’s own senses. Despite the high demand for photographs of travelers onboard spacecraft as well as of space and the Earth through cabin windows, capturing high-quality photos in such situations is difficult. Capturing striking moments like activities in zero gravity with expressive compositions that show travelers well is also important for these unique travel experiences. Given these considerable technical and artistic challenges, photographers that specialize in space travel are needed to provide services for space travelers. In this paper, we discuss the technologies and problems involved in photographing space travelers onboard spacecraft along with some solutions to these issues.
