Netflixが「トゥームレイダー（Tomb Raider）」「スカル・アイランド（Skull Island）」のアニメシリーズを発表
1月27日、NetflixとLegendary Televisionは新作アニメシリーズとして、「トゥームレイダー（Tomb Raider）」と「スカル・アイランド（Skull Island）」の2作品を発表しました。

「トゥームレイダー（Tomb Raider）」は、ゲーム『トゥームレイダー』のリブート版三部作『シャドウ オブ ザ トゥームレイダー』後のララ・クロフトが描かれた作品となる模様。

『キングコング: 髑髏島の巨神』のアニメ版とも言えそうな「スカル・アイランド（Skull Island）」は、難破してモンスターだらけの髑髏島に流れ着いた主人公の物語。髑髏島を支配するのはもちろんコングです。
アニメーションの制作を担当するのは、『悪魔城ドラキュラ -キャッスルヴァニア-』を手掛けたPowerhouse Animation Studios。
