Must visit spot for September holidays “Special exhibition and sale of Redoute's rose and botanical arts”
Klaver (Minato-ku, Tokyo, shop owner: Yuko Hayata), the shop of flamed prints, will host an exhibition and sale event of botanical arts mainly those of Redoute in Hiroo, Tokyo. It will only be for 4 days in September holidays. In this season of art, it's an event to enjoy art in luxurious feeling and to purchase the one you like on the site.
Highlights of the exhibition are the original prints of Pierre-Joseph Redoute (1759-1840), the court painter for Marie Antoinette and Josephine (the first wife and Empress of Napoleon I).
Hand-finished stipple engraving from his famous “Les Roses” and “The Most Beautiful Flowers” that are in good condition will be exhibited and sold.
At the same time, there will also be fine replicas that are more affordable. Popular replicas of Rose are from 10,000 JPY. Also, there will be a number of original and fine replicas of European botanical arts other than Redoute.
