■Abstract: Japan is a country prone to disasters such as typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and tsunamis. When a disaster strikes, people often take refuge in evacuation centers such as school gymnasiums and live there until the situation stabilizes. Living in an evacuation center is a harsh environment with no privacy and limited access to water and electricity. In a sense, life in an evacuation shelter is similar in many ways to life in a spaceship during space travel. Therefore, at ASTRAX, we believe that we can apply the technology developed from the evacuation life to the improvement of the life during space travel. On the other hand, we can apply the space travel technology back to the evacuation environment. In this paper, a comparison between the technology for disaster prevention, life in evacuation and the technology for space travel life and its application to each of them will be discussed.
