OculusRift、Gear VR対応の「Hitman: GO」の配信など、VR業界に影響を与える、株式会社スクエアエニックスが、シアトルで来月開催されるPAX West 2016で「Rise of the Tomb Raider VR Experience」のゲームプレイを初めて公式に発表することとなった。
イベント内で「Tomb Raider VR Experience」の公開は二ヶ所で行われる。
「Developing Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration」と、ゲームプレイ動画がデモンストレーションされるショーフロアである。

DEVELOPING RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER: 20 YEAR CELEBRATION
日時は現地時間金曜日1時30分から2時30分、場所はWyvern Theater。
「Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration」の製作チームが「Lara Croft」（トゥームレイダーのヒロイン）誕生の20週年記念を祝い、最近のゲームタイトルについてなどを語る。
懐かしさを感じさせるステージ「Croft Manor」（ヒロインの家）と共に、「Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration」は、今年末に配信予定である。
